Acorn Consultancy Services is led by Jo Andrew, she has an LLB (Hons) degree and a first class Masters degree in Public Administration from the University of Nottingham. Undertaking studies at this level has enabled Jo to develop extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of legal frameworks and their application, procurement methodologies, research and evaluation methods to independently review projects, services and area based initiatives.
Jo’s career commenced in the public sector where she has worked in some of the most disadvantaged areas in the UK, progressing to the position of Service Director with Derby City Council. Over the last seven years she has used her skills to enable SME’s and third sector companies to produce winning tender and OJEU compliant submissions, win national awards and has produced independent evaluations to academic standards to underpin funding bids and enable clients to win funding from organisations, including the Big Lottery.
With a focus on helping clients to win, and a tenacity to ensure that any submission exceeds requirements and clearly specifies the benefits to the end user, Jo has secured over £142M in external resources for those that she has worked for.
